Tawl Paul (AKA Paul Frederick) was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago. He served in the Vietnam War & afterwards attended SIU in Carbondale. While in school there he joined a rock band, and discovered two things: a) Singing American roots music, especially the blues, was his life work. And b) Carbondale was his home. For close to fifty years he's lived in Carbondale & sung the blues.
